Today we woke up to a delish baked oatmeal cooked for us by Lina. It was delicious! Like an oatmeal cookie for breakfast!
After we filled up we went to the Hans Herr House. Hans Herr House is a house built in 1719 by Christian Herr and was named after his father who also occupied the home. They were both Mennonite bishops and they provided services inside the house.

After Uncle Mat came back with Lina (summer school) we headed out to see the birthplace of the hard pretzel, Sturgis Pretzels. We got to try our hand at making pretzels the old-fashioned way. I got way to distracted and made mine WAY too long.

We then went to Wilbur Chocolates where we learned that Hershey “borrowed” the design of the Kiss from the Wilbur bud. I gotta say that Wilbur should have had more credit for it. The chocolate there is fantastic!
After chocolate, we stopped to pay respect at the graves of the black militia of the Civil War. We also saw where the bridge that turned the confederate army towards Gettysburg for the subsequent battle that changed history.
