First thing we did In ABQ was the NM Escape Room. We all had a really great time! The room was one of their older rooms but was supposed to be easy enough for the littler players. We were able to figure out the room within the hour. The game master was really impressed with the boys because they actually participated the entire time. Not only that, but they also were giving input that other adults never figured out on their own. We all had an amazing time and will be looking for escape/puzzle rooms up in Portland area to do for family time.
The Champions!
After the Escape Room we headed over to the National Museum of Nuclear Science & History.
Little Boy and Fat Man
Fat Man with a Jude for scale
The fancy limo for the scientists working on the Manhattan Project
“Gadget” – a test atomic bomb
B-29 Superfortress
B-52 Stratofortress
All 3 B’s. B-29, B-52, B-47
I took this picture because it reminded me of my Grandpa. He flew both the B-52 and the commercial jet. It may be the wrong airline but I loved that they were both there.
280MM Atomic Cannon
We then travelled over to the Petroglyph National Park. The boys loved clambering up the hill and looking for the symbols carved in the rocks.
