Day 52: Jude and his penguins

Today we went to the Audubon Aquarium of the Americas for Jude’s behind the scenes penguin experience. He was so excited! They have a very nice aquarium there. It was all indoor which was super beneficial for the rain storm that hit later that day.

For breakfast we started with Café Du Monde. The beignets were so delicious I forgot to get a photo of them.

Then the aquarium visit began. We got there early enough to look around and have lunch before Jude’s time.

Jude and James went back while the other boys and I hung out looking at things mostly sharks.

And then Jude’s dream came true!

Then the boys fed the stingrays – because Johnny.

And then we went outside. It was not quite the same as how we left it.

While we were inside a storm had hit New Orleans French Quarter and left flash flooding in its wake.

Some areas were well over 2 feet deep.
