Ah, Yellowstone, how can you smell so delicious? The air was perfumed with sage and other florals, and underneath it all was the acrid sulfur of the volcanic nature of the place.
We first headed north from the west entrance to make it up to the stagecoach ride that we had reserved. On the way we saw bear, elk, ducks, and bald eagles.
Fuzzy Wuzzy was a bear…
And then the stage arrived!
Marmots
Missing someone?
Nope there he is! Jimmy rode up on top!
All of us together!
Then we went to the Mammoth Hot Springs.
Mule Deer
Prong Horn
Johnny finally sprouted his horn!
Johnny desperately wanted to see the paint pots, so we made that the final stop of the evening.
On the way back we happened to look over and there was a bison with her calf nursing. Such a nice way to end the day!
Lots of great photos! Thanks for posting these and keeping all your fans up to date :)
